Our exceptional association is looking for a Membership Director to play a key role in supporting the mission of the YMCA.
The Membership Director helps build our capacity to serve the community by welcoming individuals, families and groups to become new Y members. Our ideal candidate will lead the team to engage new members and provide the opportunity for all experience our programs and services.
The Membership Director:
- Provides outstanding customer service to all members, guests, staff & the community
- Inspires the Membership team to promote Y memberships and services
- Identifies and builds relationships with prospective members in the local community
- Engages new members in their opportunity to support the YMCA’s impactful programs and services, as a donor or volunteer, to strengthen the local community
- Supports the daily operation of the Member Service team and key branch initiatives
- Creates a supportive, friendly, and efficient team and environment
- Develops the skills of membership department team members, positioning each one for their next advancement opportunity within the YMCA movement
- Leads Membership Campaigns
- Supports the Manager on Duty schedule as requested
- A minimum of five years of relevant membership experience is required (prospect development & management, enrolling, engaging and supporting service delivery to members)
- History of achieving monthly membership goals through implementing effective internal and external marketing plans
- Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, sound business acumen & a collaborative spirit in working with team members.
- Minimum of three years of staff supervision, leadership and customer service experience is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of financial/budget management
- Excellent customer service skills and experience
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems
We offer a competitive compensation package of $50,000 to $60,000 plus a monthly incentive opportunity of up to $1,500 per month.
