Each year, National Geographic travels over 25 international exhibitions to museums, galleries, and zoos where millions of people interact with our world-class content.
The International Traveling Exhibitions Project Manager will provide project support for our exhibition clients and content. This person is responsible for managing client needs, preparatory materials for the traveling exhibition packages, processing invoice requests, image research, and representing our group to International partners. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, well organized, and is a fast learner willing to take on a variety of project management tasks.
Position reports to the Director of International Traveling Exhibitions. Domestic and international travel may be required.
- Secure partners for NG Exhibitions. Negotiate exhibition loan agreements for both short-term as well as long term projects. 30%
- Exhibition project and tour management – setting timelines, gathering assets, logistics/install planning, rights clearances, contracting, budgeting, and invoicing. 40%
- Support Director of International Traveling exhibitions in a variety of administrative duties related to individual projects, vendor management, conference preparation, and reporting / tracking metrics. 15%
- Support overall efforts of the Traveling Exhibitions group as needed. 15%
- 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Ability to work well with others and independently as needed
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Positive attitude with proactive approach
- Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and other design software experience a plus
- Proficiency in multiple languages a plus
- Project Management experience required
