AARP’s ITS department is a forward-thinking, diverse group of technology & business experts who value innovation and collaboration. Our interns help with the team’s day-to-day work, but also complete special projects that contribute to advancing their future careers. Working in AARP’s ITS department can provide anyone at the start of their IT career with a front-row seat for how the “technology engine” of a large organization manages its leading-edge technology systems, information security challenges, and planning for a new technology future.
This role will report to the Director over the Delivery Executive within the Client Service Solution Delivery group. The person that we are looking for will be pursuing a degree in Technology or Marketing. The value will be to use your marketing experience to help us reinvent the way we represent the group to other business units outside of ITS. Duties of the intern will include and are not limited to the following:
- A marketing and brand promotion plan for Client Service & Solution Delivery (CSSD);
- Assist in the defining the CSAT requirement and delivery methodology;
- Assist the DE’s in developing measureable deliverables for each BU account plans. Help update/refresh account plan template;
- Defining ITS – At your service – what services do we have to offer and help craft the message to our business partners;
- Clarifying roles and responsibilities using the RACI work that has been used in the past Assist with the documentation for the SA and DE of the future;
- Helping set up and implementing the AARP Experience (AARPx) education series.
- Students who are pursuing marketing degrees with an interest in ITS are highly encouraged to apply.
- Those with a strong understanding of the process flow model and RACI are highly desirable. Our ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, are proactive in their thinking and solutions-oriented. Strong collaboration skills and solid communication skills are key for this internship role.
- AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
