The HRIS Analyst plays a key role supporting the maintenance of the human resources management system (HRMS) in addition to other HR systems. The HRIS Analyst serves as a technical point of contact and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities, and creating dashboards for HR Metrics and Predictive Analytics. This position reports to the HRIS Manager.
- Maintains and updates the company HRMS (Ultipro).
- Provide support for HRMS including, researching and resolving HRMS issues, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending alternative methods to meet requirements.
- Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Prepares information on employee demographics, trends, and projections. Assists department in utilizing metrics through creation of customized dashboards and predictive analytics reports.
- Assist in the development of user procedures, guidelines and documentation where needed. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.
- Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions. Use project management skills in managing projects.
- Acts as a Workflow Administrator, ensuring that all employee transactions are processing through the HRMS in a timely manner.
- Assist with Union Record Keeping and Reporting requirements
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS. Continously increases knowledge through classes, reading and other mechanisms. Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- 0-2 years experience in a HRIS role.
- Critical Evaluation and complex problem solving skills
- Experience maintaining the Ultipro database.
- Report writing experience, preferably Cognos
- Excellent organizational skills and initiative to improve processes.
- Ability multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about customer service.
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organization skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
