YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is looking for a dynamic Graphic Design Specialist for its Association Services Office located in Washington, DC. This position reports to the Association Director of Digital Marketing, and assists in producing graphic art and visual materials for online and print marketing, advertisements, videos, and communications. The Graphic Design Specialist helps to protect the Y brand by upholding established brand guidelines and follows all brand requirements.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for developing graphic elements for various web, print and multimedia formats, including web pages, banner ads, email campaigns, campaign collateral, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, signage, social media posts, etc.
  • Will support website maintenance and design as needed, and ensure YMCA brand guidelines and standards are upheld in all marketing mediums, communications of the membership, and within the healthy living portfolio.
Educational Background: 
Our desired candidate will have an Associate’s degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in graphic design, with knowledge of design principles, including layout, typography, color, balance, composition, and current design trends.
  • Must have experience in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on Mac platform.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in HTML/CSS, Word Press, and Microsoft Office.
