Under direction of the Manager-Employee Communications, provides ongoing support for internal communications channels including InfoNet, digital signage and other special projects for the Office of the CEO. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Works directly with staff and freelance writers, photographers, and other contributors to ensure the quality and timeliness of information via various employee communications channels (specifically digital signage).
  • Publishes and maintains content for InfoNet, specifically the Office of the CEO page.Provides technical assistance for the development, coordination, and promotion of content on AARP’s InfoNet. Coordinates with InfoNet administrator to ensure overall quality and consistency of online content and standards, including accessibility.
  • Develops, design, and implements treatments that are web-effective and user friendly.
  • Maintains InfoNet files, archives, and recommends processes for smooth and timely posting of assigned content.
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple print/online projects and assignments.
  • Upon request will work with the CEO’s office to deliver AARP History projects and other duties as assigned. 
  • Models AARP’s values in all interactions.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2-5 years of employee or corporate communications experience.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across groups and departments, connecting with and exhibiting a solid understanding of partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results, using success metrics to measure and evaluate progress towards achieving People Strategy goals and objectives.
