The Director of Research, Publications, and Professional Advancement serves as a member of the association’s senior leadership team reporting to the Executive Director.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The responsibilities of the position include (1) identifying and implementing innovative opportunities for members of NCA in collaboration with NCA’s Research Council and Teaching and Professional Advancement Committee; (2) providing oversight of member interest groups and of NCA publications, in collaboration with the Publications Council and NCA’s publisher, Taylor Francis; (3) conducting discipline-focused research including responsibility for the suite of NCA’s reports about the future of the discipline and guidance about future directions.

Educational Background: 
PhD in Communication or an allied field.
Skills/Experience: 

 A record of publications in Communication or an allied field. Experience in nonprofit management at universities, international organizations, or government.
