The Digital Campaign Associate will work to support Corporate Sponsorship for NPR. This department works directly with NPR’s sales, marketing, and design teams to create and implement digital sponsorship campaigns.  This role will actively support NPR’s top-quality digital programming including, but not limited to: NPR.org, NPR One, TED Radio Hour, Planet Money, How I Built This, Up First, Invisibilia, etc.

Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in digital media and digital sponsorship, and exposure to digital audio and/or podcast sponsorship.  They will also possess effective client service skills, and be comfortable communicating with NPR’s various sponsors, many of which are Fortune 500 companies.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage 20+ digital sponsorship campaigns at a time from beginning to end, including but not limited to: pre-launch trafficking and launch verification, mid-campaign optimizations, and analytics/reporting
  • Use ad serving tools such as DoubleClick for Publishers, Operative.One, Triton Digital, AdsWizz, etc. to traffic and monitor digital campaigns
  • Analyze podcast listening trends to help determine pricing strategy in a fast-growing industry
  • Analyze digital inventory to determine what is performing best for sponsors based on click-through rate, viewability, and user engagement
  • Work with NPR podcast producers on a weekly basis to ensure sponsorship details are delivered and produced accurately
  • Communicate and work efficiently with internal departments including marketing and sales to develop processes and strategies
Skills/Experience: 

The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, project management experience, and exude both creativity and strong analytical skills.

  • 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in ad operations or a similar field
  • Ability to collaborate on a team 10+ people in a fast-paced environment with large amounts of revenue at stake
  • Outstanding attention to detail for quality assurance purposes, and the ability to manage many campaigns and projects simultaneously
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and comfortable working with math and formulas
  • Must have project management experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with ad-serving platforms such as DoubleClick for Publishers, Triton, AdsWizz or Operative.One a plus
  • Enthusiasm for public media, its mission and its programs
