Areas of Responsibility:
- Migration of Windows 7 to 10: Deploy desktop PC images using Microsoft SCCM and other technologies
- Install, test, maintain and support PCs and laptops, peripherals, printers, operating systems and applications
- Coordinate with end-users to schedule meetings and perform data and OS migrations
- Maintain inventory of machines in the project and their migration status
- Report regularly on status of project
- Identify improvements to project delivery and workflow
- Correspond with NPR employees and other departments
- Follow-up to schedule with employees and answer questions about OS migration
- Educate end-users on hardware and software changes
- Adhere to defined Service Desk procedures and standards
- Adhere to all company security and compliance standards
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree preferred with a concentration or major in engineering or computer science or an Associate degree and 3 years direct career experience in information technology disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience:
The candidate selected will have a majority of the following skills, abilities, competencies and knowledge:
- Minimum 2 years of Service Desk experience
- Minimum 1 years PC and Mac support hardware and o/s troubleshooting skills
- Experience with remote access troubleshooting and PC imaging software
- Familiarity with networking and voice/data cabling.
- Experience with system monitoring systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player, Self-Starter, detail oriented and strong organizational skills
- Disciplined approach to troubleshooting
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- A+, Network+, MCP and/or MCDST
