CRM Data Manager manages the day-to-day activities associated with data monitoring, data quality improvement, and data management.  Provides leadership and project management in two main areas, but are not limited to, delivery management and data quality, including all project management duties related to data governance, as well as providing thought leadership and direction on best practices as it relates to USPS processing, addressing hygiene, and data quality practices.  Works with management to document, define, analyze, and drive improvements to the policies and processes used throughout the lifecycle of member servicing system data assets.  Supports the effort to develop a deep understanding of data usage and critical business requirements in key data systems and leverage such knowledge in various data and business process analyses.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Monitor and ensure the data quality and data integrity between major AARP systems with special focus on email address data.
  • Work independently and willing to find answers on your own
  • Initiate research to find data issues
  • Unintimidated by new data, processes, technology
  • Monitor and advocate best practices of email address management and data usage
  • Act as a business stakeholder for some data projects. That includes, but not limited to, provide business requirements, drive/lead projects, perform user acceptance testing, etc…
Educational Background: 
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience: 

At least 5 years of experience within a technical business environment focusing on database development, management across multiple systems, and with data quality programs, including data quality management, data integration, and master data management principles and at least 3 years of experience in improving data quality. 

  • Experience in data governance policy and process definition, with some experience in developing business data requirements and data standards documents.  Experience in data modeling desired. 
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and decision-making skills required.
  • Experience with data quality programs, including data quality management, data integration, and master data management principles.
  • Competent data analysis skills to assess the current state of master data and identify master data issues.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with USPS regulation, processing, and services (IMb, NCOA, CASS, DPV, etc.) required.
  • Experience running queries using SQL on different platforms is required
  • Experience with Talent Studio is a plus.
  • Experience with Big Data, AWS, and python is a plus.
