The Director of Data & Marketing Cloud Operations is a highly desirable position responsible for strategic development, implementation and management of ASI’s big data and marketing technology stack.  This role will work with our data management, analytics, marketing, and business teams.   He/She will provide leadership for leveraging cloud platforms for the effective use of information assets and marketing deployment.  He/She will help design the evolution of our cloud platform and operations that will enable optimized consumer experiences and empower advanced analytics/A.I. by improving data accessibility and delivery.  In addition to leading strategic efforts, this person will:

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide hands-on leadership to a world class data sciences and marketing team, and related vendors.
  • Cloud Design & Implementation- Lead the overall design and implementation of the AWS cloud architecture and service solutions/enhancements; the cloud architect will be involved in all stages of system development efforts, including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, cloud computing and support.
  • Cloud Migration- lead ASI database migrations by providing a variety of migration options including re-platforming, re-factoring and re-engineering into both in-house and vendor-managed operations services.
  • Cloud Roadmap- Guide evaluation of cloud based data, marketing, and analytic/A.I vendors in support of go/no go decisions to meet the strategic needs of the business.  Vendor mix includes website personalization, big data hosting and analytics (AWS, Google Query), machine learning and A.I.(open source such as R, Python)
  • Collaborate with peers on big data and marketing ecosystem strategies using cloud and open source environments.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentation explaining data flows, data insights and team vision
  • Be part of budget planning, project capital/Operational expenditures & ROI: develop, monitor and meet expense and revenue quantification plans
  • Work as a business partner with business leaders and users to creatively identify / evaluate / implement / improve business technology and processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions for business success
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required, Master’s degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • 10+ years of experience in technology architecture and management with at least 3 years in cloud architecture, migration, and optimization with an emphasis on AWS
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Deep knowledge and experience collecting and analyzing customer click-stream data, and other behavioral engagement channels.
  • Proficiency in use of online/offline data for marketing and analytics, infrastructure and processes required to manage and mobilize data for audience purposes. Working knowledge of industry vendors.
  • Ability to develop project plans, and manage strategic projects across internal teams and clients
  • Ability to build trust and achieve results through others in a matrix environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for presenting complex information to diverse audiences. PowerPoint based presentation skills needed
  • Excellent planning and management skills, as well as communication techniques and strategies.  Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. 
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate the activities of, and work effectively with, staff, service providers, and outside resources at all levels.
  • Exposure to data MarTech and AdTech tools, platforms and networks is beneficial
  • Knowledge of digital onboarding (LiveRamp), and advertising technology (Krux DMP, CDP) is a bonus
