As part of the Marketing, Branding, and Communications division, the Corporate Communications department plays a vital role in telling the NPR story to the organization’s close-in stakeholders, including the staff of NPR. The Corporate Communications Intern plays an essential role in supporting interdepartmental communications at NPR, and increasing stakeholders’ awareness of NPR’s projects, programming, people, priorities, and activities. This role is responsible for intensive writing and editing projects related to staff messaging as well as external Corporate Communications projects.
- Write, edit, and proofread content for employee communications, including the daily internal all-staff newsletter and NPR’s Intranet
- Write and contribute content for the NPR Extra blog, and assist with gathering and editing material to be used in the external-facing NPR Extra newsletter
- Draft and edit bios for NPR journalists and executives
- Provide logistical, planning, and communications support for company meetings and events
- Give tours of NPR’s headquarters to the public, student groups, and professional organizations
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills are a must

Preferred qualifications:
- Talent with writing in a corporate voice, and for various platforms and audiences
- Basic photography skills
