The position supervises a team of entry and mid-level accounting professionals. Overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/billing, collections, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting and analysis, policy and procedures, and GAAP.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/billing, collections, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting and analysis, policy and procedures, and GAAP
- Prepares lead schedules for external auditors to ensure timely, compliant annual audit to include A-133 audit
- Ensures effective internal controls both in the accounting office and in the field business offices
- Leads the month end closing process
- Provides exemplary customer service to internal customers and works collaboratively to meet their operating goals
- Monitors branch business services activities to include cash processing, accounts receivable, semimonthly electronic funds processing and revenue posting to insure compliance with internal controls
- Facilitates state and federal grant reporting
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting
Skills/Experience:
- CPA or CPA Candidate
- 7+ years of progressive financial management and managerial experience
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Hands on professional with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Able to work flexible schedule to include some nights and weekends
- Experience supervising accounting staff
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel
- Experience with Proprietary software (i.e. Great Plains, SGA, Protivity)
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary; $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
