Assists in the analysis, design, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs.  Evaluates jobs, determines pay grades, participates in compensation surveys, and performs associated analysis.  Ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation policy.  Resolves daily operational questions and issues. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Serves as a resource to management on a variety of projects and compensation-related issues, including program design and base pay administration.
  • Provides support for special projects, reports, and studies covering a range of compensation initiatives.  Analyzes and interprets results and presents findings in a concise format.
  • Assists in the annual merit and incentive process by testing, checking/ensuring data accuracy, adhering to deadlines, and working with management and colleagues to provide necessary guidance and information throughout the process.
  • Participates in annual compensation surveys which serve as a source for obtaining market pricing data and helps in determining changes in the labor market, economic indicators, and compensation trends.
  • Updates survey data for current benchmark and positions that have been previously priced.
  • Assists in day-to-day operations, as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of 6+ years of directly related professional-level work experience in Compensation.
  • Knowledge of compensation methodology, principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze data and make substantive recommendations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships to foster cooperation and support from internal and external groups.
  • Proficiency in contemporary software programs (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
