The Development Coordinator, Nothing But Nets will be a critical member of the Nothing But Nets’ resource mobilization team, reporting to the Director.
She/he provides donor services, campaign coordination and administrative support to the team.
We seek someone who is high energy, has excellent organizational and communication skills, and is attentive to detail. A successful Coordinator will value close collaboration with Team members but will also be self-motivated and able to work independently.
This position is an integral part of a hardworking, close-knit team devoted to identifying partners, supporters, and constituencies that will help Nothing But Nets achieve our goals to provide life-saving bed nets and other tools to protect children and families throughout Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean from malaria.
Donor Services (70%)
- Provide excellent customer service to donors and partners and oversee the individual stewardship process.
- Support the development and execution of “grassroots” fundraising campaigns across platforms including e-appeals, direct mail, peer-to-peer, website and social media.
- Support the monthly giving program and the creation of monthly updates for members.
- Assist with research, recruitment and engagement of corporate partners, major donors and other strategic partners.
- Manage select portfolio of tier 2 corporate partners.
- Support cause-related marketing programs and resource mobilization events.
- Coordinate the weekly acknowledgement process, ensuring that donors receive timely and appropriate communications.
- Create quarterly and annual development reports.
Campaign Coordination, Budget Management, and Administrative Support (30%)
- Provide administrative support to Director.
- Schedule and organize key meetings and conference calls, including preparing meeting materials and taking minutes as needed.
- Help support management and tracking of budget.
- Work with Finance and Business Services/Budget Departments to process bills, invoices, reimbursements, and contracts for partnership and development activities.
- Support development of quarterly reports and business plan.
- Liaise with UNF departments and conduct cross-department projects.
- Support in the tracking, management and ordering of campaign materials.
- Support and maintain fundraising systems to help track donor data and ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Support overall campaign management and special projects as requested.
- Past experience and interest in development, communications and costumer/donor relations.
- Ability to travel and work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Advanced experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Apps
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Raiser’s Edge, EveryAction, Classy, Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Budgetary experience is a plus.
- Strong writing experience a plus.
- Interest in global health, international development and/or United Nations desired.
