We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-oriented person to join our team as the Associate of Talent Matching, enabling the D.C. Region to move strategically and efficiently towards our ambitious goals. As the A,TM you will work to increase the recruitment and matching efforts of TFA DC’s talent to school based opportunities in the DC Region. This will include working in partnership with the Director of Corps Member and Alumni Matching to support the talent recruitment, cultivation, and hiring of school-based teachers and alumni leaders as well as assisting with critical data analysis to ensure our talent matching efforts are as effective as possible. As a key member of the Talent Hub team, you will provide support to ensure our communities have the talent, resources, and development needed to meet the needs of students in the schools and districts we serve.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Talent Recruitment, Cultivation & Hiring (70%)

  • Work in partnership with the Director of Corps Member & Alumni Matching to align on opportunities within schools that are a match for our educators.
  • Partner with talent matching team on identify and cultivate prospects to fulfill schools based roles in the DC Region.
  • Support in the planning and execution of regional talent events including placement events, school interviews and district hiring fairs.
  • Attend community events at the school and district level to become a regional team expert for news in the community, and share this information with the team as appropriate
  • Onboard alumni talent matched in the region to gain regional and community context.
  • Collaborate with national alumni team to leverage national databases to support recruitment and hiring strategies

Data Management & Analysis (20%)

  • Collect and analyze data to inform talent matching strategy, recruitment and cultivation.
  • Ensure access to and fidelity of key teacher data in the D.C. Region
  • Prepare materials and draft communications for internal and external talent reporting.
  • Support Manager of Alumni Services in the implementation and execution of our annual alumni survey, gathering highly important data for our regional talent work.
  • Support with the analysis of key survey findings to make data-driven based decisions on our strategic priorities and aligned actions to implement.

Regional Team Responsibilities (10%)

  • Support, attend, and/or participate in regional team activities, including corps member selection and matriculation, corps member professional development Saturdays (4-5 per year), staff meetings, development events (2-3 evenings a year), functional team meetings and retreats, and regional pre-service (one week in June).
Educational Background: 
Education Bachelor’s degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 2 years of professional work experience with proven record of achieving ambitious results
  • Previous experience in a school, charter, or district setting preferred
