The Advisor for Planning & Project Support reports to the Director of Business Integration and Support and is responsible for planning, reporting/evaluation, communications related to best practices and telling the impact story of state and community work, as well as Enterprise project management. The advisor supports the SCE Leadership Team to maximize state success related to enterprise goals, objectives and initiatives.
Areas of Responsibility:
Management of SCE role in key enterprise projects and initiatives
- Manage SCE engagement on key enterprise initiatives (e.g., Executive visits, Disrupt Aging, AARPx), determining the strategic role of states in these efforts, managing execution strategies and providing timely reporting.
- Represent SCE on various matrix teams across the enterprise. Identify opportunities to engage state staff and volunteers in the planning and design of work that impacts states. Track and report contributions and outcomes.
Planning, Reporting and Analysis
- Manage SCE role in Group and state planning, executing an efficient and effective annual state planning process, in collaboration with OSA
- Track Dashboard, KPI and initiative/program results. Analyze data to identify trends, best practices and needed adjustments to reach goals.
- Accelerate the identification and replication of best practices, working collaboratively with regional staff, OCE and OVE.
- Use state reporting and data to effectively communicate the impact of state and local work in enterprise success.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business management, business administration or other field aligned to the development of strategies, success measures and monitoring outcomes
Skills/Experience:
- Strong communication skills, including clear and concise writing and presentations to a variety of audiences and the ability to use data to tell compelling stories
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a matrix environment to represent a point of view and work collaborative to achieve shared results.
- Expert use of data management and visualization tools, including the ability to create tables and graphs to tell an impact story.
- Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and consistently meeting deadlines
