We are excited to hire an Accounts Payable Manager to help support the finance and accounting department in our Association Services Office in downtown DC.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by maintaining effective internal control related to the financial and operational controls that affect the accurate reflection of internal and external reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of  accounts payable and employee expense reports, review accounts payable batch edit reports, review weekly aging report, develops grant record keeping procedures and manage appropriate departmental records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
  • The Accounts Payable Manager is vital to the team’s success; a keen eye for detail and accuracy is important.
  • In addition, the ability to motivate team members is essential and must have the personal skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
  • The position leads a team of non-exempt, clerical, and office administration personnel.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, minimum of three years of experience working with A/P, A/R, G/L and/or grants, knowledge of federal and state grant financial policies and procedures, A-133 Audit experience preferred, knowledge and understanding of not for profit accounting principles and practices, ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, able to prioritize, troubleshoot and multitask in fast paced environment, proficient in MS Office with an expertise in Excel and Word, excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00
