Responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day cash management, financing and banking activities of the Treasury function. Responsibilities include managing the Society’s short and long- term cash requirements to meet current and upcoming needs considering cash flow projections and available line of credit. Maintain existing bank relationships and services and assist management with future banking needs and assessments. Assist with managing any financing needs of the organization. Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of cash actuals, receipts and disbursements, as well as cash flow projections providing management with transparency as it relates to all cash activity. Identify, recommend and implement system and process improvements. Will serves as primary Treasury subject matter expert. Assume other expanded management responsibilities as it relates to disbursements and other areas within Shared Financial Services.
Treasury Management Services (30%)
- Bank relationship management - open/close any new banks or add/remove banking services per direction of management team.
- Monitor existing and recommend new banking services that NG may benefit from.
- Responsible for disaster recovery/contingency planning to ensure continuity of critical Treasury Operations.
- Coordinate responses to banking regulatory inquiries.
- Manage merchant service relationship, pricing and administration.
- Communicate and address service issues or errors with the bank.
- Manage banking portals access.
- Seeks to maximize operating efficiencies and minimize bank fees.
- Coordinates internally and externally to research and resolve operating or reconciliation issues.
- Maintain accurate and complete archive bank agreements and account documentation.
- Establish Line of Credit (LOC) issuance and manage LOC draws.
- Responsible for ensuring FX rates are accurately loaded into ERP system on a monthly basis.
- Manage FBAR filing for company and impacted personnel.
Cash Forecast and Funds Managements (25%)
- Responsible to provide input and cost-effective recommendations of capital expenditures.
- Work with senior team to design, implement and drive the execution of funding opportunities across various financing programs and platforms
- Manage monthly/quarterly covenant reporting needs for any future outstanding long-term debt.
- Ensures adequate liquidity for NGS.
- Responsible for overseeing daily cash function and proper funding of bank accounts.
- Assesses impact of updated projections and recommends/executes short-term borrowing needs.
- Seeks to minimize cost of funding and maximum net return within Board guidelines.
- Advise management on optimal capital structure and related financing options
- Perform in-depth analyses of cash sources and uses and prepare meaningful management reporting
- Coordinate with finance teams on cash projections to anticipate and ensure future cash needs of the organization
Shared Financial Services (SFS) (25%)
- Work with Director to manage segregation of duties within SFS.
- Be acclimated in areas of Cash Operations and AP in order to serve as backup.
- Assist Director with annual audit deliverables.
- Ad-hoc reporting and data analysis as requested.
- Review intercompany working capital reconciliation.
- Assist with researching and resolving accounting questions.
Liaison with Accounts Payable regarding disbursements (20%)
- Initiates and/or approves manual wires via banking portal based on internal request.
- Approve Supplier and Expense settlement runs to ensure accounts are properly funded.
- Review all Suppliers with IAT or wire payments selected as a payment option.
- Partner with Director to enhance Corporate Card program.
- Assist in researching transaction inquiries.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
- 7+ years of experience in same or related fields, namely commercial banking or corporate treasury management and at least 3+ years of management experience. Prior experience using large ERP systems and Treasury Management tools strongly desired.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- In-depth working knowledge of the end to end corporate banking process including banking services, bank account set-up, closure and maintenance, cash transfers and all cash disbursements methods – both domestic and international.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of the various types of financing and debt instruments including derivative instruments (e.g. swaps).
- Strong business/finance analytical skills as it relates to the Treasury functions.
- Fundamental understanding of accounting.
- Strong managerial and leadership skills with proven ability to supervise, develop and motivate staff, and effectively manage projects to completion.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in preparing and executing formal and informal presentations and reports.
- Highly self-directed with demonstrated initiative, and ability to exercise independent and mature judgement and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of staff including senior management as well as and outside financial institutions.
- Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, manage time efficiently and meet required deadlines.
- Motivated and dependable and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills with ability to identify problems, develop solutions and take action to resolve issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including graphics capabilities
- Experience with Workday ERP a plus.
