The Research Unit at Amnesty International USA is seeking a legal intern with a strong background and interest in human rights to provide support for a current project focusing on the human rights implications of gun violence in the United States.

The intern will work on the development of a specific project related to gun violence and may need to provide assistance related to the organization’s ongoing work on other issues when needed.  In particular, we are seeking applicants with strong backgrounds in the issues of gun violence and criminal justice along with knowledge of the relevant international law, in particular, familiarity with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
