Join a talented, established software development team building NPR’s native mobile applications. You will work as part of a cross-functional team to craft compelling listening, reading, and viewing experiences for NPR users wherever they are.
Areas of Responsibility:
- You will be responsible for the development of new apps, as well as improving upon our existing flagship applications on Android, maybe iOS, and a range of other platforms.
Skills/Experience:
About You:
- Expert in Android and/or iOS development
- Strong Object-Oriented programming skills
- Familiarity with setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration
- Experience with automated testing of native applications
- Not just a willingness, but a passion to learn new things
- Experience working with RESTful APIs
It’d be nice if you had:
- Agile experience
- Other web development experience (i.e. HTML/CSS, JS, PHP)
- Windows mobile experience
- Experience with rapid prototyping
- Git or other distributed version control system
