The Membership Operations Manager is responsible for collaborating with a diverse team across the association to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of membership-related campaign operations, and identify opportunities for improving member acquisition and renewal processes and supporting Membership’s offer strategy.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Membership Operations Manager is responsible for collaborating with a diverse team across the association to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of membership-related campaign operations, and identify opportunities for improving member acquisition and renewal processes and supporting Membership’s offer strategy. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a NetSuite Super User for the Association:
    • Serve as a subject matter expert over using the NetSuite offer management system to support Membership-related campaigns and the interaction between NetSuite and other membership platforms (ex: Konnex, Ciboodle)
    • Ensure offers, products, bundles, options, and campaign IDs are properly created and approved in the NetSuite system.
    • Serve as an ITS liaison for the Association on all NetSuite matters.
    • Train and advise business users and provide training updates as needed.
  • Serve as an AARP Marketing Operations System (AMOS or Aprimo) Super User for Membership:
    • Share responsibility for overall management of Membership workflows in the platform.
    • Create and maintain internal “how-to” guides.
    • Train and advise business users and provide training updates as needed.
    • Serve as a Membership liaison on the AMOS Client Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Assist campaign managers by serving as a point of contact with the Data Analytics and Performance Management (DAPM) group, including queuing up test results and assisting with preparation of decks for quarterly learning reviews.
  • Serve as membership database liaison on behalf of campaign managers (PMAX/IMAX/KONNEX).
  • Work with campaign managers and Subject Matter Experts to develop and provide an  operational support structure for Acquisition channels similar to the operational structure in place for Renewal campaigns. Support ongoing  Renewals operations
  • Document processes and maintain historical documentation.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent
Skills/Experience: 
  • Highly organized and detail-driven
  • Deadline-driven; works well in a fast-paced environment with firm deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skilled in project and program management/operations
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Understanding of acquisition and Retention marketing
  • Consultative and collaborative team member
  • Initiates action on behalf of varied stakeholder groups

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience working in an operations or data-driven marketing capacity
