Areas of Responsibility: 

The Membership Associates at the YMCA play a key role in support of this work by:

  •  Providing outstanding customer service to all members, guests, staff & the community;
  • Identifying and building relationships with prospective members in the local community;
  • Welcoming individuals, families and groups to become new YMCA members;
  • Engaging new members in their opportunity to support the unique, needed programs and services of the YMCA as a supporting donor or volunteer;
  • Supporting the daily operation of the Member Service team and key branch initiatives.
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of three years sales and services experience is required. Relevant membership experience is strongly preferred
  • A track record of demonstrating initiative, enthusiasm, passion, common sense/good judgement, reliability and a commitment to achieving goals.
  • Skills required include communication, relationship-building, customer service, leadership, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to review and guide the work of others.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings for branch and corporate functions
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines
  • Must have reliable transportation
