World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Marketing Analyst at our Washington, DC office. Prepares, evaluates and presents strategic and financial analyses for the organization. In some cases, takes a leadership role in these efforts, taking the project from conception through implementation. Uses statistical or data mining models to optimize marketing campaigns. Advises decision-makers regarding the best quantitatively supported strategies for improvement and expansion. Implements business intelligence strategies within the organization to enable more valuable strategic analysis and more efficient operations.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Advises decision-makers regarding the best quantitatively supported strategies for improvement and expansion. Provides guidance to colleagues pertaining to analytical best practices. Uses statistical or data mining models to optimize marketing campaigns.
- Implements business intelligence and information management strategies to improve strategic and financial analysis as well as facilitate more efficient operations. Provides ad hoc, life time value analysis and trends analysis reporting. Provides analytical support and expertise to all areas within Marketing, delivering solutions of strategic importance and implementation strategies to execute on those solutions.
- Develops projections of Marketing’s fundraising progress toward projected results. Responsible for providing data analysis and implications to business units. Directs the preparation of special reports for senior management and Board, integrating fundraising performance trends and marketing analysis.
- Prepares and consolidates the annual revenue budgets for the Chief Marketing Officer. Provides analysis and interpretation of the results and prepares financial and operating reports to provide a basis for management review and planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration required. Master's Degree is preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing data analysis. SAS experience (Enterprise Guide/Enterprise Miner) is preferred. SQL or other programming experience is desired.
- Excellent analytical skills, demonstrating the ability to create valuable strategic and financial analyses.
- Strong communication skills with particular emphasis on the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and consultants.
- Strong organizational skills, particularly as it relates to handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team required.
- In-depth knowledge of analytical methods, including spreadsheets and statistical software.
- Experience with relational databases, SAS, and/or programming languages.
