We are currently recruiting for an Associate Executive Director, this position reports to a District Executive Director.
- YMCA Prince George’s County is a program branch that that runs summer camp and many school age sites throughout many communities in Prince George’s County.
- The Associate Executive Director will provide leadership in the branch.
- Assists in management of all aspects of the business and program operations of the branch, to include: fiscal management, annual support campaign, staff supervision, volunteer development, member services and program quality to include recruiting, selecting and retraining quality staff.
- Specifically, this position requires the individual to be accountable for the operation of the off-sites, ensuring that the programs are operating in accordance with the YMCA and state licensing standards.
- Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children and parents.
- Promote the positive image of the YMCA and play a major role in making the YMCA a provider of choice in youth development programs for the communities that we service.
- 5 or more years’ experience with executive leadership in a small to medium branch
- Experience operating School Age programs at multiple sites; to include summer camp programs
- Expectations of high level of professionalism, ability to perform under deadline, multi-task, management and group leadership skills, and high degree of organization
- Relationship building skills with key stakeholders
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Successful experience with program expansion, growth and delivery
- Effective leadership skills, including supervising and developing staff
- Strategic thinking and planning (the ability to think conceptually about an issue and develop a plan of action to achieve a goal)
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, families, and the community
- Attends and participates in staff and other school activities and meetings as appropriate
- Knowledge in the proper methods for development, implementation and control of financial resources and budgets
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of participation in the program, including creating plans of action based on measurement, evaluation and feedback
- Ensure high quality program delivery and execution that promotes participant growth/retention and supports academic learning
- Lead the overall accountability for program quality and execution, staff performance, and family engagement

Salary: $51,600.00 - $61,000.00
