Position Summary

The Manager, Global Partnerships reports to and supports the Director of Global Partnerships in the programmatic and administrative work of the department in the HRC Foundation, the education arm of the Human Rights Campaign.

The Manager, Global Partnerships must be versatile, curious and energetic, display a can-do attitude, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to intersectional work. They must be able to work quickly and accurately with a high level of professionalism, organization and collaboration, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to coordinate multiple projects on an ongoing basis, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Position Responsibilities

Manages administrative matters for the team, including travel, managing calendars and arranging virtual and in-person meetings and conference calls and managing their technical elements, takes notes at meetings, maintains contact lists and databases, including the lists of HRC Global Alumni.

 Assists in reporting duties, including creating first drafts of board reports, weekly updates, foundation reports and others as required.

Assists with preparation of budgets, completes check requests, publication requests, supplies orders, expense reports, and makes first review of monthly budget reconciliations and recommends next steps.

 Assists with preparation of contracts and MOU’s for external vendors, grantees and awardees, including the Small Grants Program.

 Reviews and writes new content for program web pages and other online materials and updates them online.

 Drafts talking points for team’s speaking engagements, conducts research and creates PowerPoint and other presentations as needed.

 Leads on creating forms and tracking responses for Small Grants Program, and assists with planning and implementation of annual Global Summit, and other major programmatic activities.

 Leads on drafting and managing distribution of the quarterly global newsletter.

 Researches and creates a twice-weekly Global News Summary.

 Other duties as assigned

Skills/Experience: 

Position Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required with two-four years’ relevant administrative work experience in a professional environment preferred. Knowledge of global issues a plus.

 Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as managing someone else’s calendar, coordinating travel, balancing competing priorities, etc.

 Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

 A can-do proactive attitude, with demonstrated ability to work independently and a strong work ethic.

 Exceptional attention to accuracy and detail.

 Outstanding organizational, task management and time management skills.

 Ability to work individually, with the programs and with other departments at HRC

 Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs, Slides and Drive)

 Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

 Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

 Strong interest in the rapidly changing LGBTQ+ equality movement and a working knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues.

All positions at the Human Rights Campaign may require travel on a regular basis or periodically.

Where the need arises for business travel, appropriate compensation as outlined by the Fair Labor Standards Act will apply.
