Job Description: The Associate Teacher responsibilities continue outside the classroom with home visits with MCCC families. Plan, teach, and implement classroom activities. Develop and use integrated daily lesson plans to meet children’s individualized goals and the Federal Head Start Performance Standards. Monitor/ supervise children at all times to ensure safety. Create and change learning centers to support learning goals

Educational Background: 
Minimum of Child Development Associate Credential; State awarded or equivalent
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education Preferred
Skills/Experience: 

Job Requirements: Head Start teachers requires a minimum of a CDA but Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred or Associate’s degree with six college courses in child development or early childhood education, focusing on children ages birth to five. Ability to pass and maintain a criminal background check meeting State, Federal &/or local guidelines for working with children. Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certifications and Food Handler’s Permit within 30-days of hire. Two years experience working directly with young infants, toddlers and/or children preferred.

Compensation/Benefits: 

Base Range: $14.38- $17.18/hr depending on education and experience
