Develops, organizes, implements, and monitors camp, a range of sports activities, primarily for youths, based on member’s requests, research, and previous successes.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Recruits, trains, schedules, and directs staff and volunteers.
  • Acts as Camp Director
  • Organizes special branch events
  • Organizes, schedules, and monitors team and group activities.
  •  Develops and communicates rules and guidelines for participation.
  •  Researches and develops strategies to enhance programs and motivate staff to achieve
    organization goals.
  •  Reviews and evaluates staff performance; takes necessary corrective action.
  •  Establishes new programs and expand programs within community to meet strategic
    and operating plans.
  •  Assists in marketing and distribution of program materials and information.
  •  Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  •  Coordinates and schedules equipment maintenance and repairs.
  •  Engages members in areas of recommendations, program and equipment feedback,
    and areas of concern.
  •  Compiles program statistics; evaluates effectiveness of, and participation in, programs;
    makes recommendations based on data.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on issues of safety and security
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical education, Recreation, or related field with 2 years related experience; or 5 or more years experience successfully managing high activity youth sports programs.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 years Camp experience
  •  Experience in planning and directing a wide range of youth sports programs.
  •  Ability to create marketing and communications programs for this function.
  •  Experience in dealing with, and resolving, a wide range of issues involving program
    participants.
  •  Ability to deal with safety and emergency issues.
  •  Proven capability to effectively manage staff and volunteers.
  • Experience in recruiting, leading, and developing high performance team members.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00
