Come work for an exciting organization as a School Age Growth and Enrichment Coordinator.

This position is under the Director of Childcare Services and within the policies established by the Wallingford Family YMCA. The SAGE Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the day to day operations of the school-age program. Major responsibilities include providing adequate staff for each site, ordering supplies, and assisting in program development and implementation. The Coordinator will also ensure that each program is conducted in accordance with the purposes and policies of the YMCA and meet State of Connecticut licensing requirements.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for day to day operations for nine before and after school care programs. Ensure programs are operating withing the State of CT Childcare licensing guidelines.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2-4 years related experience preferred
  • current State of CT Childcare Certifications
  • Elementary Education preferred
  • STEM/STEAM program experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • This Coordinator must be able to work in cooperation with other professional staff and to supervise and direct staff and volunteers.This position requires a high degree of flexibility and growth as well as a capacity to relate with children, staff, parents and committees; Knowledge of State of CT Childcare licensing requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED/Med. Admin. Certified.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00
