The Marketing Director’s key role is to manage effectively the advertising, promotional and marketing activities of the YMCA. The Marketing Director evaluates market conditions, customer research, competitor data and implements the changes in marketing plan as required

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop, implement and facilitate annual marketing plans including Membership, SKY Academies and all other new initiatives.
  • Monitor the achievement of this plan, develop and administer the budget and take appropriate action to ensure that the goals and objectives are met.
  • Manage all social media:
  • Oversee day-to-day including content creation, social listening and campaign strategy in collaboration with Brand Strategy and Marketing.
  • Serve as primary responder to all social media inquiries and distribute accordingly to appropriate staff members
  • Coordinate and build an online content calendar balancing copy and a variety of content with the right brand aesthetic and voice across social media platforms.
  • Develop and drive robust and innovative social media influencer marketing plans to support products, collections, and marketing initiatives.
  • Measure, analyze and report the impact and effectiveness of social media campaigns and strategies using KPI’s and analytics to help guide future plans.
  • Partner closely with our team to align priorities and ensure consistency.
  • Explore and evaluate new social tools, services, platforms, opportunities, and potential partners and provide recommendations to team
  • Develop, update and QA all social media pages that align with key marketing initiatives.
  • Update marketing calendar on a continual basis to reflect all social media initiatives; develop a work-back schedule to project-manage initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Work closely with the team on visual presentation and messaging across all social media accounts.
  • Propose and develop business cases for new ventures and enhancements to improve the user experience on all social media sites
  • Report on site metrics and customer feedback each month.
  • Monitor competitive activity to improve effectiveness/engagement of our website.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in social branding.
  • Manage website development and content, update and maintain accordingly.
  • Write and submit all press releases for the organization
  • Maintain updated files of YMCA’s media relations (both press and electronic).
  • Develop and administer marketing database that includes mailing list
  • Develop strategic plan for marketing to include integration of market trends and recommendations for future action to align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop, produce and distribute program information necessary to promote assigned programs, in accordance with membership and marketing plans.
  • Compile data and reports on membership, programs and services.
  • Coordinate/develop products to display and participate in trade shows and promotional activities, working with Directors and other staff to market YMCA services and products and attend as directed.
  • Develop a library of released photography form SKY YMCA programs for use in future materials
  • Lead assigned aspects of the Annual Support Campaign. 
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, including social media and web design.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to oversee projects from origin through execution.
  • Flexible and able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks at single instance in a timely manner
  • Innovative, stress tolerance, decision-making skills.
  • Must have good interpersonal, public relations and communications skills, including the ability to make presentations and handle media inquiries.
  • Successfully complete State of Florida Criminal History Background Check requirements as well as meet the Association’s policies on background screening
  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Must be a self starter, with high energy and a positive attitude
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $47,000.00 - $55,000.00
