We are looking for a Manager, Donor Communities and Engagement to play a pivotal role in the execution of key projects and communications that directly impact the donor experience of Teach For America’s full range of national and regional donors. Under the supervision of the Managing Director - Donor Communities and Engagement and in support of two Directors - Donor Communities and Engagement, you will support the initiative’s administrative needs, manage the flow of information and data, and project manage a portfolio of development communications and event projects. Central to this role will be the management and execution of all cross-stream communications within the national development team and the administrative management of donor communities. 

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of building relationships across organizations. You should have impeccable attention to detail, an ability to process a sense of urgency, a talent for synthesizing significant amounts of information from multiple sources, and an extremely high level of discretion, respect, and humility.

Areas of Responsibility: 

50% Donor Community and Engagement Project Support

  • Provide administrative and project management support for select events and projects
  • Execute and operationalize key information and data management tools in support of the National Board of Directors portfolio, team’s events, communications, and initiatives

25% Cross-Stream Development Communication Management

  • Coordinate internal communication projects such as the Annual Report, Holiday Cards, One Day mailings, and other ad hoc communications with other streams on the National Development team
  • Liaise with colleagues organization-wide to ensure deliverables adhere to timelines and present the most compelling, accurate, and relevant content
  • Draft mass and individual communications copy for review (including announcements, newsletters, and emails from senior staff)

15% DCE Team Strategy Support

  • Support the DCE team strategy by tracking relevant metrics and pulling reports on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for review
  • Assist in creating new systems and processes to support development and tracking of team goals

10% General Administrative and Team Culture Support

  • Other team projects as needed, such as procurement or supporting team culture
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2-3 years professional experience in an administrative role highly preferred, ideally in nonprofit development
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple streams of information across different projects
  • Highly proficient with office software, including both MS Office and cloud-based solutions (such as Google Drive).
  • Genuine enjoyment of administrative and project management work with a keen attention to detail
  • Excitement for managing project execution and motivated by a fast-paced workload
  • Eager to learn and improve upon new data management and internal communication systems
  • Actively seeks out feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Ability or interest in helping to build a strong team culture
