350.org is looking for an experienced IT Specialist who will provide technical support and services for staff members across various platforms and systems!
The Information Technology (IT) Specialist will be responsible for procuring IT hardware and organizational software technical support to 350.org staff. This includes (but is not limited to) assisting in the customization and adaptation of new and existing software/systems to meet the needs of the organization. This role will:
- Support the COO in setting organizational IT function and strategy
- Support the management and upkeep of organizational communication systems - Email, Slack, Zoom, Signal, Intranet, etc.
- Support IT security function (Includes Dashlane and VPN)
- Support/facilitate intranet system implementation
- Ensure effective use and setup and administration of 350.org Google Suite and Apple products (especially Mac computers and OS)
- Assist in establishing organization IT equipment replacement policy and procedure
- Manage computer and organizational technology equipment purchasing and maintenance process
- Develop and implement a Global Helpdesk support system
- Provide IT trainings for 350.org staff
- Resolve or fix equipment issues and provide in-house computer troubleshooting
- At least two (2) years of experience in IT
- A strong knowledge and proficiency in Google Suite and Apple products
- Proficiency in Slack, Zoom and Dashlane
Desired (but not required) skills and experiences
- Experience in implementing a new technology system organization-wide
- Experience with developing training sessions and materials for different technology systems
- Ability to work independently
