Director, TFACT Systems Learning and Support

As Director, TFACT Systems Learning and Support, you set and execute on the vision and strategy to improve fundraising outcomes across Teach For America’s regional and national teams by increasing staff adoption of our various fundraising technologies, ensuring strong data management practices, and supporting teams’ implementation of efficient development systems. You manage a team of managers to aid in execution of that vision and its associated strategies. In this role you will be expected to build relationships with diverse groups, interface and work collaboratively with staff members across all levels of the organization, and have strong orientation towards end user learning and results.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Set and realize vision for org-wide adoption and effective usage of our fundraising technology (25%)

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of what effective technology adoption looks like in TFA’s Development context
  • Support the evaluation of fundraising teams’ data and technology adoption, and work with other teams across the organization to drive improvement
  • Monitor and respond to trends in data quality, identifying strategies and tactics to meet and exceed our measures of success
  • Along with your team, define data and systems policies and document those policies for national and regional fundraiser consumption
  • Work with the Director, Data Quality & Technology to identify and deliver system enhancements based on your vision and feedback gathered from the field

Drive Development systems learning and integrate with Development learning across the enterprise (45%)

  • Develop and execute on a vision for technology learning (in-person, virtual, and individual), ensuring alignment with the Knowledge & Learning team’s broader Development scope and sequence
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for the Development Operations team’s various learning efforts, ensuring that learning opportunities are aligned and strategic
  • Integrate the systems learning with Advancement Team execution

Manage TFACT Systems Learning and Support team (20%)

  • Hire, develop and retain a diverse and talented team

  • Manage your managers towards ambitious results
  • Ensure strong team culture and professional development

Help Desk Management (10%)

  • Respond to questions from the DevoSupport@ help desk that fall in your area of expertise, and manage and support your team in responding to questions

  • Creation and alignment of strategies across diverse stakeholders
  • Data-informed approaches to decision making
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively and consistently organize, prioritize, track, and manage workflow, goals, and resources - both for yourself and for a team

Work Demands

  • Ability to travel to in person conferences 2-4 times a year
