Teach For America seeks a Director, Performance Analytics who will partner with others to shape and enhance the data, reports, analyses and problem solving skills of the larger Recruitment Team. The Director, Performance Analytics is responsible for partnering with other members of Performance Analytics and the Recruitment Team’s functional team leads to ensure that Salesforce and other data/reports meet the needs of the RT, that we are able to measure the effectiveness of our strategies and our progress toward meeting our goals, and that all team leaders & members have the skills they need to leverage the reporting and analysis tools at their disposal. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills; a strong ability to build relationships and view challenges & opportunities through multiple lenses; a strong ability to coach others; and a high degree of proficiency in Salesforce.  Experience with Business Objects highly preferred.

Areas of Responsibility: 

An individual in this role will execute the following responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing consultant services to field team leads and MDs to ensure that they have the metrics, goals, reports, dashboards, and other tools to measure progress and determine strategic next steps.
  • Coach team leads, their direct reports and team members on both Salesforce and data analysis to build out problem solving capacity and support the RT’s commitment to making data driven decisions.
  • Continuously review products, respond to questions that arise and ensure clear recommendation and headlines are shared with client teams.
  • Specialize in specific needs and strategies of respective clients but collaborate with other Directors on Performance Analytics to ensure consistent and collaborative reporting and analysis products and delivery.
  • Partner with functional team leads as they are developing their recruitment strategies and work in parallel to define relevant Salesforce requirements and enhancements in coordination with the Director, Technology Management, Innovation and Training.
  • Partner with the others on Performance Analytics to ensure that prospects are flowing through the recruitment funnel in TFACT.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests and tech tickets as needed.
  • Lead special data & reporting projects as assigned (post-notification reporting, confirmation reporting, etc.) depending on team needs and capacity.

  • Strong ability to coach others on both technological and analytical skills, as well as the ability to invest them in the importance of making data-driven decisions and maintaining accurate data.
  • Strong Excel and Salesforce skills required. 
  • Business Object skills strongly preferred.
  • Statistical analysis skills preferred.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Four to seven years of experience.
  • Experience working with database programs and software required (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Salesforce)
  • Prior experience with the Recruitment Team helpful, but not required.
