Director, Development Fundraising Technology Innovation

As Director, Fundraising Technology Innovation, you will support data operations and technology solutions on the Data Quality, Technology & Learning team. You will research, define, and refine approaches to enhancing fundraising technology in a way that ensures efficiency and efficacy of our organization's development operations. You will work to ensure alignment of development technology investments with other trends in our organization’s technology investments, and seek out innovations that can lead to org-wide advancement. You will work with the Information Technology team and various other stakeholders to deliver on these investments. In this role, you will be expected to build relationships with diverse groups, and have a strong learning and results orientation. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Set and deliver on vision for Development Technology

  • Set vision and strategy for evolution of TFA’s Development Technology ecosystem
  • Manage delivery of projects on TFACT (front and back end) roadmap
  • Work with Reporting & Analytics team to manage delivery of projects on Business Intelligence Reporting roadmap
  • Collect, manage and execute on continuous improvement of technologies
  • Manage and maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors as needed
  • Serve as Development’s TFACT Project Team Lead (PTL), proactively engaging with other PTLs to ensure high cross-functional technology alignment and collaboration within regions
  • Work with Reporting & Analytics team and Revenue Accounting team to ensure technology enhancements do not adversely impact the system
  • Work with the Director, TFACT Systems Learning & Support (TSLS) to understand trends from the field, and deliver system enhancements aligned with the vision for Development systems usage and adoption
  • Work with Managers, TSLS to create spaces that cultivate regional champions of development systems

Data Management and Operations 

  • Invest other members of the Data Quality, Technology & Learning team in the Development Technology vision, and provide direction for the creation of new interim data processes to support user needs
  • Engage other members of the Data Quality, Technology & Learning team to support improvement of internal processes; facilitating collaboration with IT when necessary
  • Perform documented and ad-hoc data management processes in support of regional and national needs

Help Desk Management

  • Respond to questions from our DevoSupport@ help desk that fall in your area of expertise
Skills/Experience: 
  • Development execution or support
  • Vision setting, execution and monitoring
  • Creation and alignment of strategies across diverse stakeholders
  • Data informed approaches to decision making
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Technology requirements development or roadmap development a plus
  • Ability to travel to in person conferences 2-4 times a year
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional client-service orientation
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with client and partner teams
  • Proven ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong collaborative spirit that is apt in working with others while driving projects independently
