We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated YMCA professional to provide leadership and direct supervision to the Child Care Center. The Child Development Director is responsible for the development, administration and success of the Child Care program. Highlights of the position include: Supervision. fiscal management, maintenance of government contracts, understanding of state and local licensing requirements, staff development, creativity in developing curriculum, facilitating CATCH and relationships building with families, staff and community partners.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Recruits, hires, trains, coaches and schedules staff. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Develops and management departmental budget. Ensure program operates within budget and that program fees are collected.
- Monitor and track government subsidy to ensure participants are in compliance and payments are received.
- Ensure a high level of program quality.
- Monitor program operations, equipment, files and facilities to adhere to all local, state and YMCA regulations.
Educational Background:
BA in education or a related field. Must meet Director level and Head Teacher level licensing requirements
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of three years' experience leading a Child Care program within the YMCA or the non-profit sector
- High ability to recruit, motivate, retain and coach staff while working within a team atmosphere
- Experience working 4C's and handling e-child care process is a must
- Exemplifies a proactive, hands-on, nad professional work ethic
- Excellent administrative, organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel
- Bilingual a plus
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00
