The Resource Director will be responsible for the delivery of core services to 33 local YMCAs assigned to support YMCAs in building their capacity to impact local communities. The incumbent concentrates on operations support; strategic planning, board development, board governance, collaboration, networking and onboarding. The incumbent will act as a connection to other specialists provided by Y-USA Partner Services, Service Delivery Partner Service Ys, Training Partner Ys or Third Parties Providers. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Advocate and partner with Y’s to impact local, state, and national public policy  
  • Assess eachY’s highest operatingneeds and recommend appropriate partner Y or consulting services, and create impact-focused projects  
  • Build& Maintaineffective relationships with Y leaders to develop high levels of access, credibility and trust 
  • Collaborate, create and encourage a productive relationship with Y-USA Partner Services, Service Delivery Partner Ys, Training Partner Ys or Third Parties Providersto deliver appropriate resources to local Ys 
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of leadership competenciesand maintain a broad knowledge base and understanding of boards, operational and compliance issues 
  • Educate Ys about Y-USAstrategic priorities and encourage them to embrace best practices in their work  
  • Facilitatewith local Ys opportunities for collaboration, partnering and shared services   
  • Understand and recognize the various roles (consultant, facilitator, catalyst, resource, or educator) that are necessary to meet the various needs of the Y’s 
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree (advance degree preferred)
Skills/Experience: 
  • Organizational Leadership certification preferred
  • Requires 7-10 or more years’ experience leading or consulting in corporate environments and/or complex multi-site organizations
  •  Must be able to travel up to 50%-70% of the time
  •  Extensive background developing and delivering strategic solutions in core service areas
  •  Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  •  Analytical and problem-solving skills
  •  Must possess a proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with individuals across a broad   range of stakeholders
  •  Embraces a culture of creativity and innovation to advance the mission of the Y 
  •  Demonstrates strong leadership competencies as listed below
  •  Specific experience working with Y’s or similar organizations
  •  Ability to work cross-sectionally, inclusively, culturally and equitably
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00
