Looking for a proven leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and forward thinking for youth and family programs.

The Senior Program Director of Camp and Family Programs, plans, coordinates and oversees and/or delivers all camp, youth, teen, and family programs/events. Supervises non-swim youth/teen and Stay and Play programs. Supervises center-based camp operations: leads and directs the supervision of campers and associates in all daily activities and operations; manages the camp facility/site development, customer service needs and programming to ensure a quality camp experience. Develops and manages Program and Camp budgets .Demonstrates the Y's commitment to its core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring in all actions to serve as a role model.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage a camp enrollment of 300-400 campers, supervise a group of 40 - 100 associates 
  • Manage/monitoring and be responsible for the total budget (camp and center program budgets) including payroll and program supplies. 
  • Manage Center-based youth, sports, and family programs/events; including Stay and Play, (additional fee-based non-swim youth programs)
  • Supervise 2-4 full-time leadership in program areas 
  • Accountable for completion of assigned goals as measured by the number of people served, cause driven measures, service satisfaction scores, operating results, and supervisor evaluation of assigned duties.
  • Must complete all training and attend all planning meetings as assigned.
  • An offer of employment is contingent upon receipt of satisfactory results to meet minimum requirements of the position. The requirements may include background check, drug test, driver’s license record, CPS, and/or criminal background check.
  • Additional driver’s license check, CPS, criminal background check, alcohol, and/or drug testing may be required to be processed in the future in order to meet and/or maintain the requirements of this position.
  • Create and implement youth development (cognitive and physical) fee-based programs
Skills/Experience: 
  • A Bachelors Degree in Sports Management/ Recreation/Health Sciencesor related field is preferred
  • At least 25 year or older
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience and 3 or more years in supervision of program operations at a Y or similar fitness/youth development operation.  
  • Familiar with ACA and DHMH regulations and requirements
  • Demonstrates track record in developing innovative programs 
  • Attends all training and meetings within the designated time frame
