Northwestern CT Y is looking for a Ninja Warrior Head Coach for both youth and adults. New program beginning in February.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Using YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to establish a positive and supportive Ninja Warrior culture and community at the facility.
- Ensure strong safety standards adhered to by all members.
- Perform safety checks on equipment.
- Coach/teach youth and adult classes.
- Coach participants during birthday party events and camps.
- Conducts regular Ninja Warrior Competitions for youth & adults.
- Clean and maintain gym and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with Wellness Director and CEO to brainstorm new ideas (for classes, obstacles, facility offerings, etc.).
- Track class registrations, growth, and retention of participants.
- Interact with participants and parents to encourage continuing participation and sales.
- Using YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to establish a positive and supportive Ninja Warrior culture and community at the facility.
- Ability to communicate, demonstrate, cue and spot all participants through obstacles.
- Conducts regular Ninja Warrior Competitions for youth & adults.
Skills/Experience:
- Prior coaching or experience working with kids and adults.
- Strong background in gymnastics/obstacle training and fitness.
- Ability to communicate, demonstrate, cue and spot all participants through obstacles.
- First Aid/CPR Certified.
- Positive and energetic attitude and team player.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong passion for inspiring children and individuals to achieve fitness goals and overcome obstacles.
- Must be able to work evening hours (e.g., 3:30pm – 9pm) and weekend hours (for training classes, birthday parties, competitions, camps and events).
Compensation/Benefits:
Hourly: $24.00 - $28.00
