Leads all sales, marketing & public relations initiatives and Y brand compliance for the Association.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develops marketing plans for each branch of the Associations and ensures implementation of all phases- corporate sales, fundraising events, promotional publications, member communication, public relations.
- Leads Association efforts in digital communication through website & social media.
- Creates art & graphics for promotional and educational publications and merchandise which comply with YMCA Branding standards.
- Directs public relation efforts generating awareness of Y programs and sustaining a positive image in the community.
Marketing:
- Develops annual multi-branch marketing plan for Association.
Promotion:
- Responsible for the creative development of all promotional materials and paid advertising.
- Develops and manages Association's digital presence through Web and social media.
Corporate Partnerships:
- Lead corporate partnership development program.
Public Relations:
- Submits regular press releases to regions newspapers and publications.
- Writes regular newsletters (electronic and print) for membership, volunteers, employees and donors.
Special Events:
- Takes a lead in the development of special events including volunteer recruitment, sponsorship solicitation, promotion and management of events.
Market Research:
- Provides for market research/member survey to assist program directors and CEO in making decisions regarding the quality of programs and services, and the effectiveness of promotions.
Graphic arts:
- Creates art/graphics for publications and merchandise which comply with YMCA Branding standards.
Photography & Video:
- Responsible for photographic documentation of all events & creates videos to support Y promotional efforts.
Volunteer Development:
- Works with volunteer leadership as staff liaison to Marketing Committee and where assigned.
- Contributes to the success potential of the branch and association wide programs and functions as requested by the CEO.
Educational Background:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Graphic Arts or Business and have extensive experience in desktop publishing.
Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrated skills & experience working with adults, member relations, sales & customer service management, marketing with good skills in writing and photography.
- Knowledge of the mission, goals and programs of the YMCA and ability to communicate the organization's purpose to the community effectively is critical.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $42,500.00 - $47,500.00
