As one of the state’s leading child care programs, we believe children should have a place to explore their interests and talents. We serve over 1850 children in 7 school districts. Our state licensed program reaches 37 elementary schools and 1 Pre-K program in Pierce and Kitsap counties. This role will be responsible for supporting our Peninsula, South Kitsap and Kitsap child care programs.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • As the Senior Program Director, you will provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of child care programs. You will assist the general administration of the branch, including supervision, fiscal management, financial development, program administration, and development of community collaborations.
  • If hired for this position you will develop relationships with community leaders, assess child care needs, and to ensure overall program growth. You will ensure effective systems are in place to measure the quality of programs and services and to receive and respond to parents’ concerns and comments in a timely and appropriate manner. You will also assist in the development of an annual budget that reflects program goals and needs.
Educational Background: 
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or equivalent degree, knowledge and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • I have five years’ experience in the development, delivery and management of child care programs or equivalent, with full understanding of child care regulations and licensing requirements.
  • I have knowledge of and experience in directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising.
  • I enjoy working with school aged children and diverse populations.
  • I have a current Lifeguard, CPR, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications.
