As the day camp program director, you will build relationships, instill confidence, and provide opportunities for growth and improvement by planning, coordinating and implementing day camps and assigned child care sites. Through your leadership, instruction, and motivation you will ensure members and program participants experience high quality programs that build strong youth and families.

- If hired for this position, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing multiple location Summer Day Camp, Winter and Spring Break Camps.
- You will assist in the planning of curriculum and coordinating class schedules and field trips with other staff and programs to enhance participation levels and meet the goals and objectives of the youth department.
- You will establish new program activities and expand programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- In this position, you will recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct staff and volunteers to ensure a successful program.
- You will support program directors to plan and conduct regular camp staff meetings and facilitate camper check in an check out.
- You will also meet performance measurement through annual giving, major gifts, and/or endowment by telling the Y story and raising charitable dollars to fulfill our mission.
- I have experience in supervision, fiscal management, program development, staff and volunteer development.
- I have 30 or more college quarter credits of Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and Elementary Education or possess equivalent educational background in courses relating to childcare.
- I have experience working resident camp or day camps. (Preferred)
- I have experience in the development, delivery, and management of child care programs or equivalent, with full understanding of child care regulations and licensing requirements.
- I have demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
- I have current Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications.
