Areas of Responsibility: 

 

  • As the associate executive director, you will monitor various program indicators and provide reports and other feedback to ensure successful branch operations and data-driven decision making.
  • You will play a leadership role in the recruitment, development, and championing of a strong staff team.
  • You will also participate as a key staff leader in the Annual Campaign by telling the Y story, by recruiting, leading and supervising volunteers and securing charitable donations.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent.
Skills/Experience: 

This position should have a track record of leading staff and departments to achieve set goals.

  • Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency, with experience in volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
  • Knowledge and working understanding of all program areas.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of
    the community.
  • YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.
  • Current Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid and Oxygen certifications.
  • Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.  Complete other online and in-person training as required.
