As the Senior Health and Well-being Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, and monitoring all department operations.
If hired for this position you will provide an impactful member experience by developing and maintaining Health and Well-being operations, including group fitness, active older adult, fitness floor, and adult programming. You will also organize, coordinate, and manage the recruitment and hiring process for all department staff and volunteers.
In this position you will be responsible for fiscal management, department program development, planning and evaluation, staff and volunteer development, and delivery of a positive member experience.

Areas of Responsibility: 

In this position you will be able to use your skills to:

  • Make great decisions:
    • Plan, develop, and evaluate health and well-being programs.
    • Develop, maintain and evaluate branch program plan to include all areas of oversight.
    • Develop a department strategy to incorporate department leadership in the budget process.
  • Provide quality results by:
    • Create, maintain, and balance departmental budget.
    • Develop and maintain effective program systems as outlined in association quality standards.
    • Maintain great internal and external member relationships and deliver a successful member experience through programs and engagement as outlined in association standards.
  • Lead Change:
    • Identify and develop small groups and activities that facilitate member relationships.
    • Create a volunteer and staff recognition program in collaboration with branch efforts.
    • Build quality relationships with members and provide leadership and hands-on instruction for groups and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Develop staff to their fullest potential:
    • Supervise full time and part time staff.
    • Determine program offerings and staff scheduling needs to provide a safe and meaningful experience.
    • Promote a positive and productive work environment and maintain a strong and high functioning team.
Skills/Experience: 

Are you a good fit?

  • I have a Bachelor’s degree and/or five years related knowledge and experience.
  • I can manage and develop staff and volunteer teams.
  • I have, or will obtain within 30 days of hire, current Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED,  First Aid, and Oxygen certifications.
  • I have a strong background in group exercise including the ability to develop and deliver group exercise classes, train, and evaluate instructors
