The YMCA of Greater Syracuse is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the following HR responsibilities: HRIS and department organization, records retention, recruitment, performance management, training & development, employee relations, compensation & benefits administration and employee health and safety.  The incumbent is detail oriented and across the Association's 7 branches, has the ability to provide attentive HR customer service to stakeholders.   

Educational Background: 
A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management with PHR or SHRM-CP certification and three years of experience in the HR field is preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of NYS and Federal HR laws & principles, excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication & computer skills with experience in being a champion of change; a strong problem-solver with self initiative, tenacity, flexibility, and drive to see a situation through to a satisfactory outcome. 

Required Certifications

  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP
Compensation/Benefits: 

 

Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00
