The HRIS, Payroll, & Benefits Manager administers and develops all aspects of the Summit Area YMCA’s  HRIS and Payroll system. (S)He is responsible for the accurate semi-monthly processing of the NJ based payroll for the SAY’s 550+ employees, HR data management, and preparation of all federal and NJ State regulatory reports. This Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining retirement and benefits systems and processing disability leaves.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the semi-monthly payroll process in Paylocity System.
  • Review and audit employee timesheets on an ongoing basis. Correct and counsel supervisors and/ or staff on issues related to employee timesheets.
  • Manage the NJ Earned Sick leave accruals and calculations for payroll.
  • Prepare manual payroll checks, as required.
  • Manage input of all employee job and pay rate changes throughout the year.
  • Input all annual compensation changes and Annual Campaign donations.
  • Manage and counsel supervisors and staff on Paylocity HRIS/Payroll system. Ensure all modules are working effectively for staff.  Work with HR Director to implement new modules or processes.
  • Conduct systems training for supervisors and staff.
  • Track and input all wage reporting data, such as 3rd Party Sick pay, employer HSA contributions, and employee child care subsidy in Paylocity system for accurate W2 production.
  • Ensure timely and accurate W2 production.
  • Process semi-monthly YERDI data entry for YMCA Retirement Fund.
  • Reconcile all employee benefit deductions with monthly bills.
  • Prepare and submit all Department of Labor monthly reports.
  • Maintain OSHA records in system and prepare annual OSHA report.
  • Manage all Workers Compensation claims with NJM and injured employee.
  • Manage and create all reports needed from the HRIS system, including, but not limited to, turnover, diversity, compensation adjustment programs, DOL audits, etc.
  • Prepare and respond to all verifications of employment, and data requests for mortgage companies and the housing authority.
  • Work with Finance department to ensure reconciliation of all benefits accounts. Complete any requests for information needed for annual audit.
  • Manage claims and maintain records for FMLA, NJFLA, NJTDI, and NJFLI.
  • Maintain employee memberships in DAXKO system.
  • Prepare annual employee benefit statements.
  • Act as backup for other HR roles as needed. This includes new hire process, filing, scanning, NJ legislation requirements, volunteer management, new employee orientation presentations, etc.
Educational Background: 
Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two or more years’ experience in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills and intuitive ability to learn new systems and their functionality.
  • Experience processing Payroll for a medium/large company.
  • Experience managing HRIS System, preferably Paylocity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail and numbers oriented
  • Project management skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00
