The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is hiring a Ranch Manager to live and work at the Carpenter Ranch. The Ranch Manager is responsible for oversight and maintenance of ranch and preserve facilities including an historic ranch house and education center, other housing facilities, fencing and irrigation ditches and related infrastructure. Ranch Manager will serve as the day-to-day liaison with agricultural lessee(s) on the property and will be expected to monitor livestock and related agricultural activity on the property when the lessee(s) are not present. As the representative of TNC, the Manager takes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with neighbors and key partners and provides oversight for any land and/or water management projects being implemented on the property. The Manager works closely with TNC staff on scheduling preserve visits and functions. The Manager helps provide supervision for a summer college intern living on the property. This position is required to live on the Carpenter Ranch in housing provided by The Nature Conservancy.
