This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position will develop, organize and coordinate high quality YMCA program(s).
Areas of Responsibility:
- Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities.
- Works with director to determine current needs for program.
- Ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
- Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions.
- Manage communication through media relations, social media, etc
- Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.
- Support growth and program development.
- Schedules and organizes program meetings and activities.
- Secures facilities, equipment and supplies for weekend camping activities.
- Coordinates transportation for weekend camping activities.
- Monitors camping events to adhere to all YMCA health and safety standards and policies.
- Develops and distributes program calendar and newsletter.
- Organizes and coordinate monthly family activities and events.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator of people or activities.
- Ability to use typical business software and office equipment.
- Understanding of the role of volunteerism within the YMCA.
- Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
