The Gateway Region YMCA is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate to fill the position of Association Human Resources Manager.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Human Resources Manager maintains all information pertaining to and relating to Human Resources Operations and Human Resource Information Systems.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Lead, manage and assist the HR Operations Generalist Team with data entry covering the employee lifecycle including talent acquisition, onboarding, employment changes and termination.
  • Facilitate and/or provide HR and HRIS training (including orientation) to the workforce.
  • Troubleshoot daily HR and/or Payroll issues.
  • Maintain and update all Human Resources related forms as well as development and maintenance of all HR Operations standard operating procedures.
  • Provide daily and monthly management reports for the Association including, but not limited to, timekeeping, talent acquisition and recruitment, and payroll reports.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for HR system administration, enhancements, adoption, user satisfaction, projects, and reporting.
  • Monitor HR System needs and make alterations to existing HR programs to meet changing requirements and fulfill business needs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration preferred or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience with Kronos Workforce Ready systems is preferred.
  • Interact positively with people regardless of level (in person and via phone)
  • Superior computer use and database management (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Kronos)
  • Understand and maintain legal compliance in all HR related functions
  • Work with branches and other departments to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities (may involve phone use, on site visits, web conferences, etc.)
  • Ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the special requirements of senior management
  • Ability to present facts and recommendation effectively in oral & written form
  • Superior organizational ability, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality
