Manage the chapter’s donor development program (major gifts, planned giving and foundation giving). Assist in the development of an integrated strategic plan for donor development in support of LLS’ mission.
- Assist in the development and execution of a strategic plan for the chapter’s donor development program. This includes marketing for the program, database management, organizing donor development events and committee management.
- Responsible for organizing estate planning seminars and other related programs and donor cultivation events. Develops relationships with financial management professionals.
- Manage and organize donor development volunteers and committees. Work with Donor Development Director or assigned staff in developing an effective committee structure.
- Develop and write grant proposals for foundations, corporations and public agencies within the chapter’s chartered area. Meet with those organizations that look the most promising.
- Cultivate sponsorships for assigned chapter activities and events.
- Through marketing and acquisition activity, develop prospect lists and conduct solicitations.
- Analyze chapter’s donor lists to identify and cultivate both major gift and planned giving prospects.
- Assist as assigned in the development and implementation of other chapter activities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- 2 -4 years donor development experience.
- Formal training in major gifts, planned giving and other donor development activities a plus.

- Experience in all aspects of donor development, including major gifts, planned giving, institutional giving and foundation giving, with a proven record of success.
- Solid MS Office Suite and database management skills.

- Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively.
- Highly professional demeanor.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
